we're gonna be cashing in on march madness as michigan state just beat uconn 82-73 to make it to the final.
given the fact that we've wagered on both teams in the other semi, we'll have both finalists for a second year in a row.
for myself, i look to gain quite the fortune should michigan state win it all, as i've put a substantial amount on the 26/1 shot.
Quote:
michigan state looks like the greatest value there at 26/1 as they can beat any team when it counts.
i hope a lot of people bet on this.

~*~*~*~MLB~*~*~*~

Tampa Bay Rays @ Boston Red Sox
Kazmir - Lester

Even though they're playing in Boston, the Rays hold an advantage in this game.
Kazmir for one, who is known for his ability to be at the top of his form, very early in the season.
Even with BJ Upton out of the line up till next week...
Crawford and Longoria are of the absolute elite, while Pena is as powerfull as they get!
The Rays bullpen remains strong like last year.

Taking a look at the Red Sox line up now, and honestly, if you really know baseball, its not that impressive.
The one and only thing that looks freakishly good is their bullpen.
Papelbon is purely the elite.
Saito is way too good to be 7th-8th inning guy, however, here he is.
Okajima can take care of his buisness very well.

For this particular game, you've got the Rays true #1, Kazmir, against Lester, who can be hit against.
Percival takes care of buisness in the ninth and lets cash in.

Bet on the Tampa Bay Rays

New York Mets @ Cincinnati Reds

Pelfrey - Volquez

Its not easy to bet against the Mets.
I'm afraid that the Reds might punish Pelfrey.
I'm not quite sure if everyone has a good grasp on who Volquez is.
Watch how many strike-outs he gets against the Mets today!

Bet on the Cincinnati Reds

Kazmir pitched a gem for the rays as they beat boston 7-2, while the mets got the better of the reds 9-7.

St.louis Cardinals vs Pittsburgh Pirates
Chris Carpenter - Ross Ohlendorf

I strongly doubt that Ohlendorf will be able to take the spotlight away from Carpenter's return.
I don't know how many of you understand how good of a pitcher Chris is.

Bet on the St.louis Cardinals

LA Angels vs Oakland A's

Jered Weaver vs Brett Anderson

K-Rod is missed, but lets not forget that Shields is more than capable of taking over the closing role while the 8th will be more than covered.
Jered is the Angels #2 after the incredible Joe Saunders.
Good luck to Brett in his debut.

Bet on the LA Angels

Carpenter was amazing today, he got 7 k's in 7 innings, limiting the pirates to just one hit as the cardinals won.
the angels game never started due to the death of angels 22 year old pitcher adenhart.
Jered still gets to pitch, although it will be against the red sox....

LA Angels vs Boston Red Sox

Jered Weaver - Tim Wakefield

I don't care how much control wakefield has of his knuckle-ball.
The Angels are gonna have a party running against this guy!
Jered is ready, and should get more strike-outs than hits against.

Bet on the LA Angels

Jered Weaver pitched a gem, limiting boston to just 4 hits while he recorded 8 stike-outs as the angels beat the red sox 6-3.

Clevland Indians vs Toronto Blue Jays
Cliff Lee - Roy Halladay

here are two pitchers who got beat up their first time out.
lee is easily a better pitcher than halladay, and the indians are by far superior to the blue jays.
they're at home, perception is upside down, so lets wager on this...

Bet on the Clevland Indians

LA Angels vs Boston Red Sox
Joe Saunders - Brad Penny

Two of my favorite pitchers against each other here.
I only question Penny's form as Joe is at the top of his.

Bet on the LA Angels

Both games lost by a run...grrr.

Chicago Cubs @ Milwakee Brewers
Dempster - Suppan

The Cubs are by far, superior to the Brewers.
Dempster is elite.

Bet on the Chicago Cubs

that was a nice win for dempster and the cubs to make up for yesturday.

Colorado Rockies vs Chicago Cubs

Ubaldo Jimenez - Ted Lilly

Jimenez will look to maintain his 0.00 ERA against a very good team.
He should at least get the win against Lilly who is mediocre.

Bet on the Colorado Rockies

Tampa Bay Rays vs NY Yankees
Scott Kazmir - Chien Min Wang

The clash of the titans here as this battle looks to be the one to watch this season!
I'm not underestimating Wang, as I believe that he is a very good pitcher, its just that Kazmir is about as good as they get.

Bet on the Tampa Bay Rays

NHL Playoffs

EASTERN CONFERENCE

Boston Bruins - Montreal Canadiens

Oh my, this again.
the tables have turned now as the bruins are the favorites.
Montreal skates better and now has a tremendous power-play.
The Canadiens will win some games here.
Boston is superior and has the edge.
I don't believe that this is the opponent they'd pick if they had the choice.

Bruins in 7

Washington Capitols - NY Rangers

Lundqvist is amazing, but he'll have to stop a lot of shots here against this elite attack.

Capitols in 5

New Jersey Devils - Carolina Hurricanes

Yeah yeah, whatever.
Carolina this and that.... free ticket for this mediocre devils team.

Devils in 6

Pittsburgh Penguins -Philadelphia Flyers

There are not too many good teams in the east.
The Flyers could have advanced against another team, but not here.

Penguins in 6

WESTERN CONFERENCE

San Jose Sharks - Anaheim Ducks

Just like in the east, the top seed has a tough task.
Now I called the sharks at the start of the year, but they don't match up to well against the ducks who are in their last year of a cycle.

Close one in game 7

Detroit Red Wings - Columbus Blue Jackets

Get a grip red wings fans, you're team is not what it used to be.

Blue Jackets in 6

Vancouver Canucks - St. Louis Blues

This is the most lop-sided series in this first round.

Blues in 4

Chicago Blackhawks - Calgary Flames

I'm not quite sure if Chicago is there yet, but they will be dominating soon enough.
They should outlast this flames team who will have to get down and dirty to compete against this superior team.

Blackhawks in 6

minnesota twins vs toronto blue jays
liriano - halladay

i can't believe the canadian media.
the vancouver canucks are gonna win the stanley cup.
the toronto blue jays are already in the world series.
wtf is wrong with these people

reality check, the canucks aren't capable of getting past the first round of the play-offs.
the blue jays are not only going to finish in last place in their division at the end of the season, but they'll be in last place overall in the american league.

bet on the minnesota twins

new york mets vs san diego padres
maine - peavy

peavy against the mets line-up and maine against the padres line-up pretty much evens things out.
the mets are at home and have the edge and need to win.
lets not forget, peavy is a 2nd half kinda pitcher.

bet on the new york mets

seattle mariners vs la angels

jakubauskas - saunders

i'm latvian, so i must wish good luck to my neighbour lithuanian mariner pitcher.
the angels have to win when saunders is pitching as 3 of their starters are not active at this time.
that is if they wish to remain around .500 till they return.

bet on the la angels

i'll be too busy over the weekend, so here are some mlb tips

saturday

tampa bay rays vs chicago white sox

kazmir - buehrle

take a closer look at the start of this rays line-up.
1]bj upton
2]crawford
3]longoria
4]pena
kazmir will continue to win the way he's pitching.

bet on the tampa bay rays

chicago cubs vs st.louis cardinals

dempster - lohse

with carpenter out for a month at least, expect the cardinals to fall back in the standings.
dempster is top of the line.

bet on the chicago cubs

sunday

la dodgers vs colorado rockies

mcdonald - jimenez

i own 17 baseball channels, and i watch.
i watch without distractions from emotions or money or anything.
the objective of watching is to be able to determine what everyone is capable of.
pitching is a key factor in this sport.
ubaldo jimenez is going to have an amazing career in the majors.
watch him, bet on him.

bet on the colorado rockies

i'm in a bit of a dilemma regarding the ducks-sharks series.
i'm a fan of the ducks who has his money on the sharks winning the whole thing.
i'd say that the winner of this series would be the most probable representative of the western conference in the stanley cup.

toronto blue jays vs texas rangers

halladay - mccarthy

the blue jays are a mediocre team that will finish well below .500 this season.
halladay, despite his wins, has looked very dodgy in his 3 starts.
expect a very long loosing streak coming up for the blue jays.

bet on the texas rangers

la angels vs detroit tigers
weaver - galarraga

the angels are injured.
sp adenhart died
4 starters on the dl[escobar, lackey, santana, and now moseley]
and now guerrero is also on the dl.
so yeah, for now, the angels will lose more games than they win.
the angels should at least win more games than they lose while saunders and jered weaver are starting.

bet on the la angels

the texas win paid well.
the angels also won.
lets try to keep this little run going.....

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

arizona diamondbacks vs colorado rockies
haren - de la rosa

both line-ups are playing under par at this time.
haren has cleaned up his game over the past two years.
the angle that most won't see here, is that de la rosa is capable of dominating.
the colorado win is too highly priced not to wager on.

bet on the colorado rockies

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

washington nationals vs atlanta braves

lannan - jurrjens

i've got nothing against the nationals, its just that jurrjens is too good.

bet on the atlanta braves

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

chicago cubs vs cincinnati reds

lilly - cueto

the cubs have a tough line-up, so you'd have to fear for cueto.
i like what i've seen from him, i think he'll develope into a very good pitcher.
as i've said before, lilly is mediocre.
the reds win has a real high price.

bet on the cincinnati reds

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

la angels vs detroit tigers
saunders - verlander

its been quite some time since verlander pitched well.
saunders on the other hand has been pitching the same since he came around... he's elite.

bet on the la angels

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

only saunders disapointed last night as the other 3 pitched gems.
most impressive i guess was cueto who shut down the cubs in chicago.

toronto blue jays vs texas rangers
millwood - richmond

i live in toronto, so i'm blessed to be living around a bunch of local idiots who think the leafs and the jays are gonna win everything every year.
i've got so much action against the blue jays this year, its like taking candy from a baby.
i can't believe how blind people can be.
anyhoo, the jays are a joke.

bet on the texas rangers

regarding the blue jays
they hold a 12-5 record at this time.

quote me on this, please....

the blue jays will finish the 2009 season with the worst record since 2004, where they finished with 67 wins and 94 lost.

based on the above, it would be wise to bet against the jays for the rest of the season, regardless of who's starting.
especially those of you who reside in toronto who happen to always have a better price on the toronto loss than any other place in the world.
torontonians, you are blessed with terrible teams, take advantage of it.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

st.louis cardinals vs chicago cubs

wainwright - dempster

the cubs are the elite of this division, the reds would be their main opponent, not the cardinals, not without carpenter.
yeah, sure pujols is sharp, but duncan is their next best thing.
not good enough to prolong this run.
without doubt, the cubs line-up is superior.

what i saw from dempster last season as he developed into a starter was some elite stuff.
i think this guys for real, and his numbers will show it soon enough.

bet on the chicago cubs

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

oakland a's vs tampa bay rays
cahill - kazmir

make no mistake, kazmir's stats will be amongst the elite come seasons end.
just pointing out for those who really know who these guys are.
the rays line-up...

bj upton
crawford
longoria
pena

those 4, as a whole, should be considered the greatest 1st four in a line-up in the major leagues.

bet on the tampa bay rays

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

kazmir shut-out the a's for the win, while dempster with a no decision in the cubs loss.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

colorado rockies vs la dodgers
jimenez - mcdonald

i expect jimenez to do well here, despite the tough line-up he's up against.

bet on the colorado rockies

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

arizona diamondbacks vs san fransisco giants
johnson - scherzer

yes, this is a home run park.
but, randy has a chance to make a serious impression here against a pretty weak line-up.
young scherzer should do just as well.

bet on the under
