The more things change, the more they stay the same.
The proverb is of French origin and was used by the French novelist Alphonse Karr (1808-90)... and ain't it the truth.  Here is the cover of Physical Culture Magazine, from 1937. ......................  King Edward is gone, but substitute any other celebrity, and that, along with all the rest of the story titles, are eerily familiar today.
