1 Day Left - Obama Leads Nationally by 7%

With only 1 day left until election day, Barack Obama's lead has grown to a full 7% nationally. He will not only win, but win by a landslide.

This is bad news for the twisted neocons who backed the worst president in American history; George W. Bush, but it's fantastic news for America, and especially the American worker.

President Obama will usher in an era of peace, prosperity, security, and freedom. He will work very hard to erase all of the damage done to our civil rights, economy, reputation throughout the world, and most of all, he will improve America's foreign policy.

President Obama will help all American workers, including those idiots who accuse him of being socialist or Muslim or anti-American. Those poor and ignorant people in the red states who have found themselves going to food banks because the president they voted for wrecked America and spent our economy into the toilet. Even the dishonest scumbags and weasels who have spread the lies about Obama's birth certificate, not putting his hand on the bible, not putting his hand over his heart during the pledge, being a Muslim, being a racist, hanging out with terrorists, etc. will find that their lives have become a bit easier with Obama at the helm.

We're going from having a retarded president to having one who was the President of the Harvard Law Review. We're going from a coke-snorting, hypocritical, military deserter to a Constitutional law professor.

We're going from having a president without an ounce of honor or integrity to President Obama who has more honor, honesty, integrity, and character than Bush, his father, Ronald Reagan, and John McCain combined.

We are all going to win.

For many of us, his view on the constitution seems reasonable and politically mainstream, but that's never been your bellwether: you've always been a strict constructionist, and Obama clearly is not. I'm genuinely curious as to how you reconcile the disparity between his political ideals and yours.

First, Obama may not be as strict a Constitutionalists as I am....few people are, and that includes the members of the Supreme Court. But unlike Bush and McCain, Obama does respect the Constitution. Bush has shown outright disdain for it. Obama is the most Constitutionalist of the bunch running right now, and I realize that's not saying much. The USSC has already ruled that gun ownership is an individual right, though they incorrectly said that the government has the authority to limit our rights, but this will keep Congress and President Obama from violating it further. Both of the major parties consider the 16th to be legal, so there's nothing different between them.

Obama is as good a president as we could ever expect from the two major parties. He's everything that Bush wasn't; intelligent, well-educated, articulate, honest, courageous, and he's got integrity and character.

Setting aside the political perspectives on individual issues, do you think it more likely that Obama's potential nominations to the Supreme Court will be constructionists, or judicial activists?

It seems much more likely to me that a key litmus test for any supreme court nominee that passes through nomination by Obama and approval by a Democratic senate will be that judges' willingness to expand the power of the federal government in interpreting the constitution.

Yeah, I agree. One-fifth of my fingers are filthy and evil and I should never, ever use them for anything. God only made them the longest ones to tempt me!

I should specify, take it in context. He was "congratulating" John McCain on his hard work and success. He did the same thing a while back to Hillary. If it was unintentional, the crowd didn't think so, and he seemed to know quite well what they were laughing about.

I'm just sayin', the mudslinging is not one-sided by a long shot.

Yup, and Palin's daughter flicked the V's at a little boy. That's really offensive here btw.

Palin still is one good looking woman. I can't imagine her as president. Maybe Obama could make her ambassador to the UK?

Or like Canada? That might be a better choice, they could understand each other better.

I figured with her expertise being so close to Russia, she would be better suited there.

Bwahahahaha - Ambassador to the UK... She'd never consent to living in such a godless country!

Actually, that would be kinda fun. Except Ambassadors don't get much airplay. I'd love her to come up against the BBC intelligensia.

For the record, Boris (now Mayor of London) getting the Paxman treatment:
