Posting while intoxicated
How about a new level of communication beyond smilies/emoticons.
Maybe they could be called inebricons® <---everyone just BACK OFF. This is MY next million. Anyway, sorry up there, I must be a little tense. Ever have a couple of frosty ones or a series of G&T's or a few hits of the old left handed cigarette while you are posting? It (your logic and posts) all makes sense to you at the time. Frighteningly, it often makes sense to the rest of us, too. But, mighten it (is mighten a word?) be useful if you could log on as being drunk or stoned and anything you posted would appear against a colored background or some other flag? That way, you could tell immediately that there is no point in trying to make sense of what someone writes, or conversely, you could log on and see who's hitting the sauce, and settle in for some entertainment. I'm not thinking about this in a negative way, but just as smilies are useful in conveying tone in lieu of visual cues, this might be helpful in getting a sense of a person's, ahem, frame of mind. There could be general tags: buzzed, hammered, forgot my meds, etc. Or specific: Whiskey, Tequila, Thai stick (do they still make that?) anyway, just a thought.

For your and most of the cellar population let me state here and now that MOST of the time I am posting on the cellar I have a cold beer or Bulrblin and coke or sum such in hand . Ain't it obvious ?????
Thank you , That is all .

The problem I have when PUI is that I'm either a) happy drunk to the point of utter incoherency and can barely string together five words, or b) emotionally intoxicated with little else but depressive thoughts of shame, regret and misery running through my head. Dangerous posting conditions, I think, though you guys would get a good dose of what really goes on in the grey matter.

That's OK, when you get fucked up and post jibberish it gives everyone a chance to feel superior and judgmental. See, win/win.

Why should you be different from anyone else?

Ah---thanks. By finding him I found the "this is Mr. StaceyV" thread which was, in all honesty, extremely fucked up.

Haven't PUI'ed in awhile. I deliberately avoid it, because I've had some doozies in the past. My problem is that I would join a thread during the day at work, then try to follow up replies late at night on weekends. If I could even find the thread, the posts were something less than brilliant. The next day when I read my stuff from the previous night, I couldn't even remember writing it.
