If you plow your cow, you rattle your cattle.

Thanks Nirvana, I've never seen triplets. Were they light?

Your vet is a very strange man if he has three calves.

How are they going to keep the little darlings fed, bottle or wet nurse cow? I recall from somewhere (probably All Creatures Great and Small) that it's difficult getting twin baby moocows enough milk to sustain them. Bessie does not do the one per teat kind of nursing.

@ Bruce I have asked your question waiting for an answer.
@Wolf dairy calves are bottle or pail fed after their initial drink of colostrum.

One of my Dad's sheep had triplet lambs last season. They weren't lucky enough to be born in a barn though. lol In fact, they were born in the paddock during one of our fairly common downpours. Poor things. They all did ok though. A ewe that lost her baby ended up fostering the trips and helping the mother raise them. Strange but true.

Is it true that little lambs eat ivy?

Triplets are pretty common in sheep, my neighbor has had 3 sets so far this year.

Our little lambs eat ivy. And wisteria. And jasmine. And wormwood. And anything else they can reach through the mesh, or by zipping through the gate when you open it. And I just discovered they eat eucalyptus leaves too. (Branch fell off one of the trees into their paddock.

Now I'm getting dozy. Dozy dotes.
