Oh no... NOT THANKSGIVING!!

I wish I didn't have to go to thanksgiving... these stupid little cousins of mine are so annoying. NOBODY bareley ever does anything about it so I am the one suffering with these whining seven-to-three year olds.
I wish I could just run away from them... the little brats >_>

Someday you'll graduate from the Kid's Table.

You could graduate this year if you use your head.

Make an adult like conversation about it. Make sure the grownups know the payoffs to you moving up. Short term = help with THE dinner or some other thing besides being the baby table chaperone.
Long term= promise to pay in chores to prove to your parents your ready to move away from the baby table.

Ask to get paid baby sitter fees because you are no longer a child and would like to talk at the table using words with more than one syllable. :p

Or you could come to MY house. My seven-to-three year olds are very entertaining and they always love a fresh audience . . . it's like a three ring circus, each child doing their own show while the others are doing theirs. It is so nice that we have a nice round number like three so we can not screw with the metaphor . . .
Do you think Tequila goes with Turkey?

Sounds like my nieces. I can sit and watch them for hours, they're so funny.

Tequila goes with EVERYTHING!

My 8-year-old stepdaughter was having this issue the other day at a birthday party where all the other kids were four and under. She was flipping out because they were not behaving and were not listening to her--I had to take her aside and remind her that SHE was not in charge, SHE was not responsible for making them behave, and that they were only annoying her because she was attempting to "play" with them by her rules only. I made her come join the grownups in the kitchen for awhile, so she could realize that the kids weren't going to follow her if she ignored them, and they were only annoying her because she was putting herself in front of them to be annoyed.

UT, how about looking into some authentic colonial recipes, and making something that may have actually graced the table at the first Thanksgiving. Gooseberry Fool or something like that there ...
