Comic Relief

Red nose day is on March 11th and me and my friend are trying to come up with some fun fundraising ideas...

Has anyone got any suggestions? We thought about having silly hair for a day or having a swear box in our house.

I think you'll have to clue people in on what Red Nose Day is.

We don't have that in America.

Unless it's Cold and Flu Season or W.C. Fields Birthday.

Red Nose Day is a big charity event we have here in Britian every 2 years i think, where you can buy wierd red clown nose things and do sponsored events, and celebrities do lots too of random things too to make as much money for charity as possible.

The RND website says that 60% goes to aid in Africa and 40% to good causes here in the UK. So far £337 million has been raised since RND was set up, thats probably about $600 million to you Americans.

Ginger, if you're stuck for ideas, i made £450 a few months ago for a trip to Mexico by growing my hair for 10 months, dying it and then shaving it, but thats obviously not for everyone. Today I am doing a "24 hour famine" for World Vision, not eating anything for 24 hours, and I've mad about £120. The RND website has fund-raising ideas too. Hope that helps!

Think the hair idea does sound a bit drastic! Thanks for the suggestion though

And good luck with the fast!
