Man, I used to snatch the "Outdoor Life"s and the "Field & Stream"s right outta Popdigr's hands to read McManus' articles.

Now, I'm loving Bill Heavey's "A Sportsman's Life" column on the back page of "Field & Stream".

The day before I flew out, I took Addie riding. Even though it is a cellphone pic, I just have to share it. Only 4 and she refuses to ride double.

I had the day off & I spent it in Tombstone. I'm adding weight again (ugh) & you can see how I'm developing my butterfly mask on my nose & cheeks. However, the money is great, food is good, and I'm so relaxed to be back with troops. Another thing - these are non-cellphone pics & better quality.

Sheldon - we need to meet up. I've got some Rocky Patel & CAO cigars. We can kick back & drink some Double Chocolate Stout.

So who they got you workin' for (USAIC, 111th, ASA ... etc.) and whatcha doin' (staff, student, teaching, recruiting or what)? Just don't say they've got you on "police" call.

Nice to see you Sarge. Hope there is a lil less stress for you there.
Boy oh boy - Addie is a cutie. She's gonna be a handful in a few years.

Only butterflies I see are on Addie's top.
And a man needs a bit of meat on him if he has to survive all you're going through.

Lovely photos, thank you.

sexobon - I'm part of National Guard support for a Federal Law Enforcement Agency prevalent in the area. You can read between the lines. Thanks to all for the kind comments

If while you're there you see something else that you might like doing on AD, go directly to the CSM of that organization and request a Letter of Acceptance. Expect follow-up interviews if they're at all interested. You can take an LOA to their supporting PAC to verify an open slot (they can carry you one pay grade up to two down on paper). It's a lot of leg work; but, getting an LOA and a printout identifying an open TOE/TDA position by line number improves the chances of getting a release for transfer (NG-RA in your case) tremendously. A lot of people go up through the ranks, even on AD, without learning that this can be done.

I'm glad to see you happier, Sarge. Great pix, by the way.

Hey. I learned that little brown scorpions aren't very friendly. I was stung last night & I woke up this morning with the area purple & dripping pus.

Sexobon - I wish I could. My active duty time is 11 years total. I have mandatory retirement in 5 years, so I can't reach sanctuary. My only hope is to keep pulling Guard missions & deployments. Seems like on med & jag can get the extensions, though I did see a CW5 (pilot) stay till 65 on AGR status flying medevac

Where is this area you speak of? Sure it was pus? Are you sure it wasn't a wet dream?

It didn't happen if you don't have pics, right? I shot a pic playing with the NVGs last night a few minutes after it happened. Then this morning it had swelled to cover 2 joints and almost reach my cuticle. Sorry that pic is so zoomed in, but we were trying to catch the "explosion" using the sports mode. Anyway, the docs have told me that the only known cure is some topless pics of the women on the Cellar. Flash your tits. You'll be doing your part to keep America safe!!!

Geez, you can't blame a guy for trying to get some nekkid pics....
