I am very happy for you. It sounds like a cool gift. I was sort of hoping that he was going to give you more lingerie like last time(NSFW).

It's the gift that keeps on giving.

Marci and I aren't really exchanging gifts. She is currently in home remodeling mode and while I regularly lust over motherboards and 1TB drives, I have not bought any big ticket items.

I did pick up a Numi blossoming tea set at a local store for myself. It looks cool.

I got one of those too, Stormie! Mine was for my birthday last week but still...

I'm getting one of these for Xmas. I know because I had to help choose it. I'm also adding on the external antenna for improved reception.

We haven't decided what the wife wants yet. Since shopping is a bitch for me, we're just going to go out and buy what she wants. Next year, I'm shopping EARLY on my vacation. I have a long memory WRT her wishlist.

I got a dress to wear on Christmas Day. But it's not too dressy so I can wear it to work in the New Year (when I get a job of course).

I'm considering wearing it on Boxing day, as we're going to my sister's and I have to try to make a good impression. Also my bro and SIL will be there, and they are worth dressing up for. I might wear my corset on Christmas Day instead. Okay, it will only be me, Mum and Dad, but it will make me feel really special. And I will take a Christmas photo to remember the occasion.

Not sure what other Santas have in mind for me, but my alter ego Santa bought me a ZOOM H2 recording device, a trip to Devon and a complete (14 hours) edition of Black Adder.

YAY! I got a second hand copy of the Blackadder box set too!
It wasn't technically a Christmas present, but I should include it as it was a gift.
Same with the two series set of Benidorm. Very poignant, listening to the commentary and watching the behind the scenes fottage, both of which feature the late Geoffrey Perkins.

for myself I got:

2 new piercings
1 pair of beautiful 8 gauge steel swan spirals
new flatware set from Crate & Barrel
a phoenix lavaliere from Black Phoenix Alchemy lab

my boss got me a gift card to Dillards; I'm taking that plus my gift card to the nice restaurant at the mall and taking my daughter and grandgirls shopping and dining tomorrow in a festive holiday manner!

The associates at my firm (as a group) always give gifts to each of the staff. Usually it's the choice of champagne or sparkling cider. While I've always appreciated the gesture, I don't like champagne and sparkling cider is merely OK. So I was very pleased this year when they also gave us the chance to opt for a red or white wine. So this year they gave me a nice bottle of red wine.

It's apparently ranked #10 for wines this year. I can't wait to try it.

I don't know what I got yet, since my mom made me promise to wait until Christmas to actually open anything (even though they are 3 thousand miles away and wouldn't know anyway). Well, I can guess a couple of them, since the shapes are distinctive. However, I would like to express my confusion about how it is that my girlfriend ended up with 14 packages .. and I ended up with 5 .... methinks I'm being usurped.

I'm being an Evil Aunt and making my niece and nephew wait until Boxing Day. I've always done it when I've been at home for Christmas, because I want to see them open the presents.

My sister has never fully approved, and this year I was going to let it slide. Then my Mum reminded me of how many people they ahev buying for them. On my BIL's side there are two Aunts and an Uncle, seven cousins, two Grandmothers, one Grandfather. On our side - as well as me - there is an Uncle, and Grandmother and Grandfather and a Great Grandfather. Boxing Day it is then.

I might even save my brother and SIL's presents until then, as we'll all be together at my sister's house. I make my own Christmas traditions.

I'd have thought that is the rule - presents opening on the traditional, prescribed day (Boxing day in England or, in case of Germany, on Christmas Eve).

I do the same thing.. we'll be arriving in North Carolina, where my parents and siblings live, on Friday. So why bother shipping stuff? It'll be like a followup surprise for them.
