Vanished Family Found

Has anyone heard about that family in Mississippi who "vanished?" I talked to a friend I work with today, and she was on the search-and-rescue team (she trains search-and-rescue/cadaver dogs), and she said they found them yesterday morning. The whole family was buried in a shallow grave in Hot Coffee, Mississippi.

Apparantly, from what she told me, they have the person who did it in custody. It's the son of a man who, instead of leaving all his land to said son, left the land to the cousin (the father of the vanished family, I'm supposing). The son got pissed off and killed the whole family over it.

He killed a little kid over LAND. I mean, killing the whole family is bad enough, but to go so far to make sure the kid didn't get the land as well is just sick. Anyone who could kill a kid should be tortured before they're executed.

He (murderer) must of been a bit of a prick in the first place for his father to leave land to his cousin instead of him.

Humans are crazy. Its amazing what people will do for pathetic material possesions. He could have gone to a lands tribunal and requested for the will be to be contesed.

What is wrong with people today? For a man to kill his own family member over property is bad enough but for him to kill a 4 year old child who was completely innocent of anything that had to do with the property is the most unforgiving act anyone could do. I think they should put this Hargon guy in a room and let the other family members beat him to death. A slow painful death and let him think about how much pain he has caused that family.

the whole family was innocent. they didnt steal it, they inherited it. killing the child is just as bad as killing any of them.

very true yes they were all innocent and this whole thing is just very tragic. It makes me appreciate the fact that my family isn't like the kind to kill over some land.

What's wrong with you people? Don't you realize that most of the wars in history have been over land?

Why do you think that Lady Sidhe didn't post this as news?

Hell, most of the raids and slayings in history have probably been over land (well, land and women...).

I was kind of wondering when that would be pointed out.

"You must be," said the Cat. "Or else you wouldn't have come here."

Actually religion probably tops both of those.

I think that religion is usually the excuse, not the reason. Wars that religion gets involved in, however, can be the worst. I should have mentioned it.

Crusades are a good example of using religion as an excuse to grab land.

Most religious wars have been over land and material wealth, too. They've just used religion as an excuse, so that God would be on their sides.

Of course, it was a war to grab land for a particular religion, not a nation.
