I am actually a nice person. I don't know if that comes across here. It's very hard to dislike me.

I am as polite as possible to strangers.

I desperately want people to like me, even if I will never see them again.

My standard tip in restaurants is 25%.

I assume the best in most people I meet. I am easily duped because of this.

I treat telephone support people tenderly, diplomatically, and with some humor, as if being nice will motivate them to solve my problems.

I apologize to hairdressers for being overly quiet.

When in line at a market, I will flip products around so the UPC code is visible and the counter person can scan them without doing any work.

Me too, except a) I have a hard time trusting strangers, and b) I cut my own hair. The rest, spot on.

actually, this ratio should be applied to buyers.

10% of people that sit down in my office will buy whatever I want them to.

80% depend on how you treat them and whether they perceive value in what I'm offering

10% resent you're even asking them to consider additional protection

I take the hangers off the clothes before they scan them.

I do this, and I also group things on the conveyer belt the way they will want to bag them, with all the cans together, and all the hygiene products together, and the cold stuff together, etc. But really, it's selfish--I just want to get out of there faster.

Unfortunately, about 92% of people in the Philadelphia area act like fucking assholes in their cars. About 3% of those people feel bad when they do, but do it anyway. Exactly 1% of people in cars notice when pedestrians push the cross signal button, and allow them to cross when they have the light. And a surprisingly low 7% of dickwads in cars yell at pedestrians while they are crossing the intersection during a red walk sign.

I guess this would be me. I know it's all padding; what else is there to say?

it can be.....but if you know what protection makes sense for you, it can save your ass.

i pushed a guy into buying GAP insurance. he totalled his van. it was worth 17500......he owed 32500. he saw the value in what i had sold him.

I say, I can afford to eat the difference myself. Since the insurance company is making money off the transaction, I'll just keep that for myself. I won't buy it unless I can pay cash anyways.
