Is my colored duck a duck?

I live by a large river, which is currently raging due to the downpour of the past couple days.

There are white ducks, mallard ducks, and one rooster looking thing I can't identify.

It's white, and black. It has a red face, with a comb that is speckled white and black.

I can't figure it out. Did some mutant rooster decide to live among the ducks. Perhaps it will turn into a swan (but it better hurry because it's pretty big and still not attractive.)

Does anyone know what this might be?

They are. They are freed, genetically modified, farm ducks.
They are not supposed to be in the wild, do not function properly and dump TONS of phosphates into our water supply every year (I live on a chain of lakes).
Lots of people from up north lobbied to keep us from killing them because they thought they were fucking "Cute" and were FEEDING THEM! They remove the real ducks from the lakes and rivers due to destruction of their environment and over-feeding. When I lived on the lake I still trapped and killed them.
Damn transplants keep buying them and releasing them... which is illegal also, but they don't care... they don't buy mallards and wood-ducks, just those damn muskogee ducks. They are a trash animal. The feral population needs to be eliminated humanely if possible.

Remember... the ones released in the US have been "modified".

Here you can see what a true, wild, bird looks like, compared to the vermin we, in the US, deal with.
