Oh ah.
I got that.

Tempts me to go all outrageous and paint my neck black for all future performances though. Because the photos of him leaving court made him look 15x as chubby as previous photos did.

Didn't he get picked up for this crime quite a while ago? I mean a year or two at least or did he do it more than once?

He was sentenced to 15 months - He wasn't really arrested or charged... He was sentenced.

Quote:
Boy George was sentenced to 15 months in jail on Friday, The Associated Press reported. This former lead singer of the 1980s hit band Culture Club, whose real name is George O’Dowd, was convicted of falsely imprisoning a male escort by handcuffing him to a wall in a London apartment in 2007. Judge David Radford of Snaresbrook Crown Court in East London said the singer was guilty of “gratuitous violence.” In 2006 he was sentenced to community service with New York City’s Department of Sanitation after pleading guilty to falsely reporting a burglary.

See, now this is the problem with Bondage and all that other stuff. Maybe the guy was paid to put up with it or whatever, and then changed his mind but they didn't know each other at all, so who'd have an idea if it's just part of the game or if he really was serious.

There's a fine line, and now someone's going to jail.

(not saying he's not guilty, but really, who knows?)

Well, first off its Boy George and secondly we had to put up with his music - seems rather fitting actually.

Well, personally, I liked his music for the most part.

Second of all, just because he's a weirdo doesn't mean he's a criminal.

That's why there are trials with judges and juries and stuff. The BBC reports the judge found that ""He was deprived of his liberty and human dignity without warning or proper explanation to him of its purpose, length or purported justification." so it would seem he did his job of considering the possibility of consent.....

Yeah...I know it went through the process. I suppose I'm playing devils advocate here mainly because no court system is fail/fool proof, and these types of things can be hard to decide on as a juror.
