the part where he punches the brother in law, and has to walk like 10 steps to pick him up and shake him kills me every time, and the exploding paint inside the car!......

Oh man, I didn't even know who these guys were 'til I connected them with Nic Cage last night.

Raising Arizona is one of the funniest damn things I've ever watched.

I'll be taking these Huggies....

I had a long discussion with some fairly bright friends, and we tried to figure out where the hell The Big Lebowski came from. What kind of mind inspired all the weird shit that goes on in that movie?
The Cohens themselves say that they don't know what the film is about, and that the tale is simply that, a tale.
Our conclusion: they linked together a bunch of stories that have all happened, and created a meta-narrative about life through these reediculous shorts.
Or, that might have been the Jameson talking.

"If he was a lazy man, and the Dude was most certainly that. Quite possibly the laziest in Los Angeles county, which would place him high in the running for laziest in the world."

The poll is closed, but the results reflect my own feelings so well, I'd be hard pressed to feel deprived.

A tie between 'Raising Arizona' (the first CB film I saw, and which I've probably watched between 30 and 40 times) and 'The Big Lebowski', with 'Oh Brother...' coming in a close second.

On the other hand, I saw most of 'The Man Who Wasn't There' on cable the other day, and I would have been shocked if anyone had voted for that movie - what a godawful piece of crap.

Probably my favorite line from 'Lebowski': "No, Walter, you're not wrong, you're just an asshole!"

Probably the best line from a generally forgettable 'Intolerable Cruelty': when Clooney and his fastidious assistant are in the greasy spoon diner, and the assistant asks the waitress if she has a green salad, and she says, "What the fuck color would it be?"

That line gets repeated a lot in the Perth/Case household. Just out of the blue. That and "I don't want FOP, goddamit! I'm a Dapper Dan Man!" from "Oh Brother".
