New Years Resolutions

Do you have any? What are they? How do they differ from the resolutions of previous years?

I "resolve" that I will continue to make realistic, incremental progress in any identified areas.
I might even go backwards somtimes, but I hope to come out ahead (in the right direction).

A revisit of my resolution of a few years ago:

Take time to recognize those who go above and beyond, whether it's an ultra friendly grocery employee, a fireman, a local newspaper writer who wrote a great article...etc.

I try to make it be more than just my profuse thanks; a note or word to their manager/supervisor can do wonders for a person's job and self-worth.

I try to live my life this way, but sometimes in the hustle and bustle and the egocentricism, I don't...so this is my running yearly reminder to remember how much that recognition can mean to the person in the trenches.

I'm doing a very unpopular thing for my resolution so I won't tell you what it is. I'll be the better for it, though. *evil grin*

I make New Years "wishes" every year. I write down little wishes on rice paper and light them on fire outside. This way my little wish is dispersed out into the world. I'm cheesy. And a bit of a nutter.

No it's whimsical and sweet. It's only nutty if you chant, sweat and stamp your feet.

May both you and Elspode have complete success in this venture.

For myself, my resolution is to finally file for divorce, get my budget under control..(work in progress), and to produce and sell more of my art which will help finance the first two items. And it will give me a great deal of pleasure and a measure of sanity.

1. Establish a reasonable workout schedule
2. Ween the boy and begin process for breast reduction
3. Get my Mom moved up here
4. Decide if we are going to move or not and make progress in that direction
5. Apply to go back to school
6. Potty train the girl once and for all
7. Revise budget... (probably multiple times) and pay bills off as much as possible.
