That seems really clever. Until you realize that they're willing to die in the process of killing other people. They, like anyone else, do not want to get trampled to death by a bunch of infidels.

So yes, I imagine there aren't too many "hijack a plane and crash it" plans on the table right now.

Put it this way....
Since 9-11 any and all americans, and possibly the rest of the world now fully should be able to understand that the only way to not stop being blown up, or flown in to the side of a skycraper or national monument, would be to try to overpower the hijackers. And you dont believe the cowboy mentality that persists{espc in america} that people wouldnt try to stop them?
I fully believe that any attempt from now on to hijack a plane will be met by these people who will try to stop them.

I thoroughly believe in the "Cowboy Mentality" among Americans and those not wanting to be killed in a Hijack. Which makes the Separated Cockpit even better of an idea. The only thing the pilot should ever have to worry about is flying/landing the plane. A door gives to many chances for someone to get to the pilot or (even worse) for the the pilot to join in on the Terrorist Stomping.

There's the real danger; having no one flying the plane because everyone was too busy kicking ass.

Has Maggie weighed into this thread with the recommendation for more trans-gendered steward/esses packin' heat?

Now that would make the terrorists terrified. Forget Air Marshals ... we need Pink Pistols.

Not such a good idea; most of the US Airways flight attendants would rather shoot a passenger than look at him. And not just me, either.
