Um, I managed to turn the radio on. And note the mileage. And start it twice (the rental chick seemed to think I should be orgasming over the push-button start malarkey). She's all "you're going to have so much fun driving this" -it's a blooming tank!

Hey that was my rental before the Ford Flex!

Monster, remember this: the fuel door button is on the bottom of the driver's side door.

I drove it for 300 miles and turned it over to J. She found, what I didn't find in all that time, some radio controls are behind your hands on the steering wheel.

Popdigr bought another Grand Cherokee a month or so ago, and, whaddya know, stereo controls on the back of the steering wheel.

Guess we ought to look at other cars more often than every fifteen yrs or so.

ETA: Anybody know where ya can download vehicle owner's manuals (I've tried googling)? The local junkyard wants $25 for a not-gently-used one!

My 99 Laredo had them, my 06 Commander has them. Nissan puts them on the front... the back is better... I sometimes hit the source button when turning the steering wheel in a nissan...

you know what's REALLY cool about the commander? Rain Sense wipers! They know when it's raining, and come on accordingly.

Oh yeah, i picked it up empty, we had to fill in a hurry before swim practice and the play tonight, and for a minute I couldn't remember where it was...... this is the most ridiculous car ever. the interior is black, it' slike cruising around in a coffin.
