whatcha think?

I really like this photo, but my aunt doesn't. Nor does my cousin. But I'm probably biased.

A tripod is useful at lower shutter speeds and would have given a sharper image.

I think it's a neat effect that the arm on the right is a little stick arm. The colors are cool too. Sort of vivid. It's interesting to look at. I wouldn't say that I like the picture, but it's fine. Nothing wrong with it.

Now you mention it, she does appear to have a large salad fork for a left arm.

But if I'm honest, if it was one of mine, it would be bound for the recycle bin. The background blur spoils it as does the under-exposure.

Looking at it I have no idea what, why, who, how or when, so this one is not worth a thousand words....it tells me nothing.

But, it's really cool to look at. I like the colors (I'm a sucker for electric blue), the shapes, and the possibilities for vivid scenarios. I'd call it artistic. Hell, I'd call it art.

I like the colors. But when the background is as blurry/out-of-focus as the subject, artistic benefit of the doubt gives way to the assumption that the shooter sneezed as he shot.

I think the composition is spot on, so are the colors. Would have been nice to have a higher ISO so you could have used a faster shutter speed and been able to control the blur.

Yeah this was about 10:30 pm ... was on a sort-of date, no tripod with me.

Initially I was shooting this concert/dance thing at like 1600 1/100, but then they dimmed the lights and out came these fire dancers. I changed to 400 1/50 or so to try and get some motion blur ... didn't really have time to check how these images were exposing. Most were too blurry, and in some the dancers were moving slow enough that it worked; but this image I immediately noticed and marked as my favorite of the bunch. Yeah, definitely wasn't by any means a concentrated effort, but as an impromptu shot I thought it wasn't bad.

She's doing a routine with a chinese yo-yo that's on fire.

If the background wasn't blurred, it would draw the eye away from the star.

Yeah, now that I look at the photo again, it's just a blurry snapshot. Oh well. Next time.

Things are alright - moved to a new city so I could explore both myself and something different. Only problem is that I've been eating my ass off in Taipei ... but the days here are so long that I don't have much time to exercise. What is a man to do??

I like it as an abstract, I'm not too concerned with "what is happening"

compostionally it is well balanced, and the colors are quite pretty. If the person was more recognizable, but still blurry, you'd ahve one of those perfect National Geographic shots.

I think it is pretty cool.
