Show of hands:who here has been keeping track of the controversy stemming from Freddie Mitchell's comments about the Patriots' defense last week on ESPN?

A bit, because it was on the news here in Philadelphia last week...it seemed like Mitchell was joking (I didn't actually hear the comments), though he is a turd.

I don't know what you're afraid of...according to *some* people here, he does a fine job of showing his ass with most of his posts anyway.

Disclaimer: Not necessarily my opinion, just a casual observation.

I'm a little concerned that the Pats are going to into the game with something to prove and blow it. They're getting more pissed of as the days go by. This kind of stuff isn't healthy and can be a huge distraction.

I have this fear that if the Iggles to manage to lead at any point in the game, that's the cue for the Black Sunday or Sum of All Fears terrorist attack to ensue. Either then or when John Stamos' older brother Richard Stamos sings the high note in "Loving You."

Two teams I don't care about. Sooo... time for Animal Planet's Puppy Bowl. This kicks ass. I mean, come on -- its a room that looks like a football stadium, is full of puppies and toys, and all they do is switch cameras.

...and if you were too busy watching the game, you can always pick up the DVD.

I did the same thing! Cute puppies and more cute puppies...it doesn't get any better than this! Although I admit to watching the last quarter of the game for the heck of it.

My condolences to you Philly area Cellarites. I think the Eagles gave the Pats a hell of a game. Best Stupendous Bowl in years.
