This (these?) is (are?) the remains of a large Lion's Mane jellyfish I found on the beach at low tide while camping this weekend. It didn't smell strongly of anything, only slightly of seawater. It was quite heavy, a couple of pounds, easy. It held together solidly, like a big clear steak. But not this big.
