May 2nd, 2011: Water Hill Festival

Never heard of it? No wonder... it's new this year and local to a neighborhood of Ann Arbor. but looking at the pics, you'd think it was a long established tradition like Art Fair

Well, what is it? A group of neighbors playing music on their porches, timed so people can roam the streets from one performance to the next. Sounds kinda lame? The crowds would indicate otherwise. And there was a maypole. We were sorry not to be able to attend, but I am enjoying it vicariously through the pictures.

You could tell it was going to be great just from the website

Amazing what a bunch of neighbors can achieve! Yes, that is dancing. On a temporary dance floor. It's still a little muddy here.

This weekend saw the second festival, less muddy this time and just as popular.
