Outlook express...showing problem in configuration!
Hi!
I am a student ongoing for the bachelors' degree. I'm trying to configure outlook express with all possibilities but ....never get sucess in that  .And when I try to send/receive the mails it shows an error like- "Socket Error: 11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D" Could anyone help me in knowing whats the problem it is indicating, and also abt its solution...  ____________ Nicks |

Hi Nicks, welcome to the cellar.
Honest answer--ditch outlook express and get on board with Eudora or some other client. I hate outlook express. Full-on Outlook 2003 is sweet, but they've crippled the other version. I've had nothing but bad experiences with it. YMMV

It would appear that your SMTP and POP3 server settings are incorrect.

NovemberRain, just go to "tools", "options" and unclick the third box down in "general". It won't do dat no mo.
 I'm with Elspode......SMTP and POP3.
