My left knee went out again last night. And I spent a good while on the fucking floor. Later I crawled to my bed and finally got up. Then sometime later went to take a leak and the sob went out again. Nothing like laying in the damn floor and pissing on yourself

So sorry, Buster.
I fell badly twice in my last drinking period. I was anaesthetised by the alcohol and I suppose I'd chosen to incapacitate myself... Also, no pee involved.
But I remember the sheer helplessness, the indignity of lying there. The inability to move in a way that wouldn't cause more hurt or damage.
I managed to right myself fairly quickly the one time, as I'd fallen in a fairly clear area. The second time I fell on a pile of cans and other rubbish and ended up passing out. That was pretty much at The End.

I respect your strength.

I'm with Biggie, maybe a knee brace would help?

I've got 2 of the damn things. but they keep slipping down or pull the hide off. One is a high dollar thing like what pro ball players use.

It IS a nice area, it's pretty safe. It's round the corner from me. but some assholes prey on the weak and this douchebag copied a couple of juvenile deliquents and attacked an old man. FFS.

I saw one Dwellar's post that said Comcast was the 2nd worst internet provider.
I disagree. Obviously, it's the worst...

Weeks ago, I got a letter from CC saying they were sending me a new internet modem - FREE !

I waited, and waited, and waited... and finally I called CC.
Again they said the modem would shipped soon.
I waited, and waited, and it finally arrived.

But since the modem I bought from CC a few years ago (to avoid monthly charges) was still working,
I didn't even open the box. I waited to see if there would be new charge on my monthly bill.

Yes, today, there it is !!! $10.00 per month...
and there's a note on my CC billing saying the new modem has not yet been activated.

I tried calling CC, and the first recording said my OLD modem was not giving me the pleasure I deserved,
and I should press #1 to get a new (better) modem delivered to my house.

I did not press #1.
I waited, and waited, and eventually a recording repeatedly asked what I wanted.
After enough incorrect "automated-voice-interpretations", I got thru to CC's wait-for-a-human-being line,
and there a recording told me there could be a 17-minute wait due to CC's unusual number of calls.

The next recording told me I had some "inactive equipment", and I could go on-line to find
the nearest CC service center where I could pick up a new modem.

I decided, instead, to tell the recording where to go, and hung up.

Anyone want a new, in-the-box, "free", CC modem ?
Leave your message on my "voice-activated answering machine".

You know what's pissing me off today? I'd love to tell you. 8 dudes attacked a large fucking airbase in Iraq today. 8 dudes. The US didn't even respond in time with drones and a couple of choppers. My right wing friends, all of em, are all fucking up in arms posting stupid shit about how 300 marines are surrounded by ISIS, pray and lets start the big war machine up and go whoop some ass. Stupidest shit I've seen this week at least. God damn that pisses me off.
