Best movie out right now... name it
I think it's "V for Vendetta" - not the best movie ever, but the acting is solid, the setting believable, special effects flawless, and story strong (though weakens a bit by the end, in my opinion). I think it's probably the best movie out right now. Catch it in IMAX format if you can. I did, and really enjoyed it.

This is the only current film that is high on my list of things to see. Didn't know it was in IMAX format. We've seen a couple of the recent IMAX releases (Harry Potter and Willy Wonka), and it is definitely an enhancement to "gee whiz" special effects/big scenery type films.

Right, I saw Harry in IMAX too, opening day. Thought it was great. Also I saw the IMAX movie about the Mars rover missions. Don't recall what it was called right now. That one was truly awesome.

I'll vote for V as well. I was worried going in, since the comic is so good, but it turned out pretty good.

I was worried going in because it was being touted heavily in the ads as being by the Wachowski brothers. (I thought the Matrix was a retarded masturbatory exercise in Philosophy 101 and special effects for their own sake.) But I really enjoyed it, although it was a teeeeensy bit preachy at a few points. Very enjoyable.

That's because they weren't stolen from a reasonably talented writer like the first one was.

As long as they don't try to make VI and VII.

Believe it or not, Slither looks good... if you like comedic horror movies.

Yes. I'm going to see Slither tonight. It looks icky and fun.
Anyone going to see Sharon Stone's 50 year old beave this weekend?

Thanks for noticing. Yeah, it’s been a rough year. 3 surgeries and 74 days in the hospital (12 of which were in CCU) since last June. A staph infection. A temporary ileostomy bag. Tons o’ FUN! But I’m back to almost normal even though I'm left with some nasty scars. Seeing a new doctor (the ONLY one that has looked me in the eye and said “I can fix you”). So yeah. It’s good to be back.
