When a joke falls flat, it's not the audience's fault. I shouldn't be making tongue in cheek jokes across multiple threads and expect people to follow me.

I love cross-thread jokes. It fosters a sense of community...somehow. Makes the board seem more like a "place" . . . Am I making sense?
