Yes, by now most people with any sense have abandoned Internet Explorer and switched to firefox. Take back the web again with this literally killer extension:

doubt away.. let me know how you get on without gravity

it literally kills javascript. Whitelisting is an awesome feature. I never turn java on unless there's a really really good reason to have it on. pages are much less capable of being annoying without javascript.

Damn.

I thought we were going to go out and be a roving gang of vigilantes. A kind of internet town-watch. Keeping content safe for all. Approching people who put flashing ad banners on their sites and poking them in the eye with a sharp stick.

Instead he's talking about software.

No, you don't get it. Javascript is not alive. It cannot be killed. Unless someone chokes on their spam-flavored-pop-tarts in amazement over the abilities of this little app, it has not literally killed anything.

It has, however, metaphorically killed Javascript. The pros and cons of which are a perfectly reasonable thing to discuss, if that were what you were attempting. But all your posts instead reek of self-marketing, which is annoying, so I was taking the opportunity to mock you and your misuse of the word "literally."

But please, link us to yet another site of something totally awesome or really worth checking out. I'm sure we'd all benefit.

Well as long as we're being pedantic - the Merriam-Webster online dictionary also defines 'kill' as 'to cause to stop' ex: to kill the motor. In programming and IT, 'kill' is an often used phrase in reference to stopping a process. So, despite BLB's general dweebiness, his statement is literally correct. The plug-in kills processes.

Actually the plugin does not kill the process - it prevents the process from ever starting. A cybortion, if you will.

True. But think of the nasty threadjacking that is now likely to occur.

I'm surprised BLB hasn't posted a link to <a href="http://greasemonkey.mozdev.org/">Greasemonkey</a> yet, the zealot-geek fanboy flavor of the month.
