in the mood for. . .

in the mood for . . .
dreams maybe

beautiful ones

those of nature, of love, of freedom

of carefree moments and feelings,

of riding horses and car racing,

of good talks with people,

of meeting strangers who'll change your life forever,

of traveling or making yours or someone else's dreams come true

for solitude

silence, meditation, being alone

finding refuge within your own self

seeking inner being, looking for soul

intertwining reality and idealism

bridging the past and perhaps the future

checking the hourglass and what I've done

reaching out to my own inner core

peace . . . at peace.

in the mood for . . .

A Fall of foot
on surface mildew leaf
and crunch past beneath
to layers forgotten
In woods of deep silence.

These ears do resound
to awakening of sound
of a past such as mine
that lays in wait for remembering.

Then a spirit does tend me
with a knowledge that shakes me
that this moment is what brought me
to that which has long passed.
