Can I offer a stupid piece of advice? Might want to make sure she actually knows you're into girls (too.) I mean, she suggested you wear a pink tux, and didn't bat an eye at the suggestion to go shopping with you... You may spend the whole time workin' it, and she may be thinking, "Hooray, a new gay best friend!"

Clod: She knows I'm bi, not gay
UT: Yeah, not the greatest taste in music. But she likes a lot of obscurish classic rock that other people here dont even know about, like steely dan and warren zevon... and liking too much music, good and bad, is at least better than liking just bad music.
Zen: That's more or less exactly what I was thinking... except I have no idea what to wear to frolic, at all, so I'm mostly going to let her dress me, let her pick out the stuff. 'Specially since that's one of the biggest ways girls lay claim to their property....

What I really want to figure out, and don't know how to even begin to bring up, is whether or not this is a, 'we're going to frolic together' or a 'we're going to frolic at the same time and probably in some kind of proximity to eachother'. Did she ask me to frolic? or did she ask if i was going to frolic? I'm really not sure...

Looks to me like she asked if you are going, but not specifically to go with her. I think I was in a similar situation several dozen times, and for me it was always "are you going?" not "will you go with me?"

Attractive Male: "Are you going to prom?"
Choco: "Um, I wasn't planning to..."
Attractive/Dense Male: "Oh, you should! I'm going with [beautiful popular girl]. Hope to see you there!"
Choco: ::angst::

Shy boy: ok, we can go to Denny's
Razz: kay

Razz: shit, I've just agreed to a date! *angst*

Ibram, I wouldn't read too much into it. Teenage girls test their manipulation skills on friends, male relatives and fast food employees. Most women grow out of it, but teenagers still see it as a game and will push harder if they encounter resistance.

I'm not saying she isn't interested, just that you can't tell just from this.

Personally I enjoy male company enormously, especially if the man in question is intelligent, funny and on my wavelength. I'd even take them shopping - even though that's not my thing. Play it by ear.

XD *pats* atleast you wheren't asked by an unattrative druggy... I think it'd have been better if no one had asked me to prom... T_T
.... I went with my friend; and the druggy dude came up to me anyway saying he requested a song and he said to me that it was for me... It was "I like big butts" I almost decked him. And he actually expected me to dance with him to it. Makes you wonder just how many braincells where killed off. -_-'
