Dallas Mavericks

I know a couple of you regular dwellars are locals in Texas, so this question is really for you.

As you know, I have a son named Maverick, and lately he's really wanted to get his hands on a Maverick's cap, mainly because there's never anything with his name on it, sooooo, what's the cost of buying a cap over there, rather than me paying the $30 - $40 I see them online for? Are they cheaper locally and if so, would anyone be willing to buy one and post it to me?

I would be your humble servant for, well, a little while anyway.

take your pick here ...
I'd do it, but my situation just won't allow right now.

Yeah, they want to charge $35 for shipping, and the hat is only $27. I just don't see why it'd cost that much to ship a freaking hat. I'm willing to pay for the hat and a reasonable amount of postage, but I don't think that's reasonable. Do you?

What will it cost me to ship it to you? Heck, I can do that.

I would think slow mail would be about $10 tops. Not sure though. I'm thinking if it comes in a box, you just take it out of the box, put it in some brown paper and strap it up with tape or whatever, then it should weigh less.

I don't know. It's probably not worth it. I might see if I can find an NBL (?) outlet over here.

Let me know. I'm not in, nor near TX, so I'd have to order it. The stores I know of won't have it around here.

lol...thanks Nirvana. That will help. I don't know too much about US sports.

classic, I don't want to put anyone to too much trouble, so don't worry. Maybe Flint or Clod might have some ideas. Or does mtp live in Texas too? I know there are a few around there who might have easy access to Mavericks stuff.

There must be a place to buy Dallas Mavericks stuff around here, but I honestly wouldn't know where to go. I'll look around and see if I can find a place. Shipping costs aside, there's no reason a hat should cost $27 freaking dollars. Surely it must be cheaper locally? I'll get back to you.

Thanks Clod. As I mentioned earlier, there's no huge urgent rush or need. It's not intended as a xmas present or anything. Just if i can get my hands on one for considerably less than $50 I'll be happy. xx

Well if you really don't care how long it takes, it looks like I can ship it for as little as $3.46, but they won't commit to any timeframe for delivery at that price. I suspect it would probably be something like 3-4 weeks. The next step up is $14 with a delivery expectation of 6-10 days.

It does look like the hats are still about $25 locally. Can you link to a picture of the exact one you want? There are like a dozen different Mavericks hats online...

The $3 would be fine because I really don't care how long it takes to get here. It's just a little something I want to get for him as a reward for the changes he's made in his attitude and the effort he's been putting in around here lately. So, I knew he really wanted a hat with his name on it and he'd shown it to me and asked, knowing I'd say no, if I'd get him one. I think it'll be a nice surprise, and one he wont forget for a while.

So, how can I get the money to you clod. Do you have a paypal account at all?
