I'm still sorta Twilight Zoning about the changes I made at Youtube having had any effect on the playability of my video here. I thought that when you made a video Private, it just meant it didn't turn up in a search on Youtube. Obviously, it puts some sort of whammy on playing it, even if you have the video number...

Surfer? dude....

That's okay, most people do...pronouncing it like Celene Dion.

Selene is the goddess of the moon in her mother phase of life.
Rati is the goddess of sexual juices. She's fun!

Me, I'm a combo of them both.....

Whoooooop! Whoooop!
Fantastic!!!

Loving the videos - thank you.
Now to my British ear those sound like two different accents, rather than different versions of the same accent (if you get what I mean). Did the two of you grow up in different parts of the country?

Elspode I cracked up when you said Underturd. Am still laughing now just typing it.

Whoa! Underturd? No way...I did *not* say that...nor would I. UT is my idol, I could never be that disrespectful, not even for a cheap joke.

Selene is always tell me, "enunciate, enunciate". Now I know why.

I've lived my entire life right here in the Midwest of the USA. Selene is from here, but lived all over the US and in Saudi when growing up, so her accent is likely a lot different. That, and she's first generation out of the Missouri Ozarks, so there's probably a little bit more twang to her than there is to me.

I'm trying to remember if anyone besides me has *ever* spoken the word "elspode" before that video was made. I don't think so, not to my knowledge.

So, how would I inflect this were I speaking with a British accent? L-spew'd?

Ls-po'd
Where Po rhymes with Hoe
Ah. At least my pronunciation of Hoe anyway
Gets complicated doesn't it?

Not making fun btw - I love regional variations, even in Britain. Accents put music into everyday speech.

Dammit. When I click on either Els or Selene's videos, it says 'loading', then jumps right to 'share' or 'watch again'. Clicking watch again doesn't make it play. I'll try again later.

Edit: All of them do this. It's likely the computer I am on. (I'm on the 'scope, not in my lab) I'll try again later and on a different machine.

Perhaps we could have a Dwellars By Request thread - where we request words & phrases to be read to us on video....

Okay I can't justify it in the slightest, I'd just personally like to get the Jazzman, the Asian Chick, the Muso, the Late Night DJ, the Surfer and The Mother of the World to read a list of random words. Some to catch their accents, some just to be rude!

Or bliney - can you image UT reading The Night Before Christmas? Like cracking Creme Brulee with an ice pick (aggressive but sexy)

Forgive me, I'm about to leave and am perhaps a little hysterical.

Does it do it when you go to Youtube directly? Try that, and search for the videos by using 'selene', 'elspode' and 'cellar' as keywords.

I can access it straight from the Cellar so I can't help. Also via You Tube search.
