I found this online. I forget where I was when this came up.

Laugh or nod, it's up to you; I make no claims and the views stated are not necessarily those of the management or sponsors.

Why the World Trade Center on 9/11?

[The twin] towers were originally owned by the Rockefeller brothers [1] (of Exxon fame [2]) up until seven weeks prior to the attack. They had never turned a profit in their entire history. Nobody wanted to buy loss-makers like those. They were not a major drain upon the Rockefeller's pockets but they were a drain. To understand why "seven weeks" is of significance, it's time for a little diversion.

In July, the US Military drew up plans for war in Afghanistan [3]. These were not contingency plans in the event of terrorist action. That sort of contingency plan would be legitimate (although that would raise the question of why, if they had warnings of terrorist activity that were worrying enough to cause them to draw up contingency plans they were not on alert for the events that happened). But these plans had a scheduled date of mid-October. These were plans for a war that would have inflamed the Islamic world, leading to the oil supplies the US is so dependent upon being cut off (at best) or other Islamic countries allying with the Taleban (at worst). These were plans for a war that would have been rebuked by world leaders. These were plans that most US citizens would not support. How CONVENIENT for them that 9-11 came along so they then had justification to go-ahead.

So the plans to invade Afghanistan were drawn up 9 or 10 weeks before 9-11 and 7 weeks before 9-11 the WTC changed hands [4]. The new owner "fortuitously" had the "foresight" to insure the complex against terrorist acts [5]. The Rockefellers are not out of pocket because they got good money in return for getting rid of loss-making buildings. The new owner is not out of pocket (he would have been if the towers had not been attacked and continued to operate at a loss) because the insurance covered it [6].

The Rockefellers could not have retained ownership and taken out terrorist insurance. That would have been just too obvious and the insurance companies would have contested the claims. Selling the buildings to somebody who decided to go for comprehensive insurance cover is still suspicious, but less so.

Then we get all the irreplaceable records [7] (some of them potentially damaging to the administration) that were stored in WTC7 [8], along with much flammable fuel for "emergency generators" and which were conveniently destroyed when the building burst into flames for no readily apparent reason [9].

And while the economy was hurt by 9-11, the companies that suffered were not oil or defence companies. The oil companies gained from the oil pipeline that is going to be built in Afghanistan. The defence companies gained from all the ordnance dropped in Afghanistan (and will gain even more from war against Iraq). Let's look at some connections...

Bush II: founded three oil companies, all of which went bankrupt through his incompetence. Deeply tied in with the disgraced "Kenny Boy" of Enron [10]. Enron were desperate for the Afghan pipeline to be constructed so that the loss-making power plant they constructed in India [11] could finally run at a profit.

Cheney: former head of, and major shareholder in, Haliburton [12] (will construct Afghan pipeline, constructed and operated supply depots in Afghanistan for US military, and has in the past smuggled opium out of Afghanistan for the CIA).

Bush I: major shareholder in, and treasured analyst (because of his connections to the administration) for the Carlyle Group. This group has major shareholdings in various oil companies and US defence contractors [13]. The Saudi Binladin group (run mainly by Osama's relatives) had a lot of shares in the Carlyle Group until shortly after 9-11 when public outcry caused them to cash in those shares [14].

Rice: former bigwig in Chevron [15] (and has a tanker named after her).

The list of administration, pentagon and intelligence big-wigs with ties to oil and/or defence just goes on and on. Oil companies are going to benefit from the $6 trillion in oil reserves in the Caspian Sea area now made accessible. Defence companies are going to benefit from the high-tech weaponry thrown around. The top people in the administration benefit greatly from their links to the oil and defence companies. Would they sacrifice the WTC towers, incidentally stopping a drain on the finances of their oil buddies the Rockefeller Brothers, and incidentally destroying a lot of irreplaceable records? YOU BETCHA!

`NK Missile Warhead Found in Alaska’

By Ryu Jin
Staff Reporter
The warhead of a long-range missile test-fired by North Korea was found in the U.S. state of Alaska, a report to the National Assembly revealed yesterday.

``According to a U.S. document, the last piece of a missile warhead fired by North Korea was found in Alaska,’’ former Japanese foreign minister Taro Nakayama was quoted as saying in the report. ``Washington, as well as Tokyo, has so far underrated Pyongyang’s missile capabilities.’’

The report was the culmination of monthlong activities of the Assembly’s overseas delegation to five countries over the North Korean nuclear crisis. The Assembly dispatched groups of lawmakers to the United States, Japan, China, Russia and European Union last month to collect information and opinions on the international issue.

The team sent to Japan, headed by Rep. Kim Hak-won of the United Liberal Democrats, reported, ``Nakayama said Washington has come to put more emphasis on trilateral cooperation between South Korea, Japan and the United States since it recognized that the three countries are within the range of North Korean missiles.’’

According to the group dispatched to the U.S., American politicians had a wide range of opinions over the resolution of the nuclear issue, from ``a peaceful resolution’’ to ``military response.’’

Doves, such as Rep. Edward J. Markey, a Massachusetts Democrat and co-chairman of the Bipartisan Task Force on Nonproliferation, called for a peaceful settlement of the current confrontation, by offering food, energy and other humanitarian aid to the poverty-stricken country, while urging the North to give up its nuclear ambitions.

Rep. Markey also said the North should return to the nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty and the U.S. should make a nonaggression pact with the communist North.

Hardliners, however, warned that the North’s possession of nuclear weapons will instigate a nuclear race in the region, provoking Japan to also acquire nuclear weapons. Rep. Mark Steven Kirk, an Illinois Republican, said the U.S. might have to bomb the Yongbyon nuclear complex should the North try to export its nuclear material to other countries.

Over the controversy concerning the withdrawal of U.S. forces stationed here, most American legislators that the parliamentary delegation met said U.S. troops should stay on the peninsula as long as the Korean people want, the report said.

This is another misconception people have because they work off the assumption Bush is stupid. If you look into this a little more I think you'll find that after banckruptcy the companies were sold off piecemeal (to family or friends) for a tidy profit. It's a fairly common practice. It's easy to assume incompetence, especially with Bush, but if you look a little closer his business failures tended to increase his bottom line. Not bad for an idiot. Too bad there were people that needed those jobs to feed their families. I guess that they aren't that important. Still, if that is Bush the businessman, what should we expect from Bush the President?

yeah, bush has turned a healthy (personal) profit in all of his business ventures... and as I've argueed on my hometown site, he's not an idiot, he just plays one on TV.. as far as I'm concerned he's a mad man.. crazy like a fox... and when all is said and done (assuming there's anything left other than smoking rubble) he'll walk away smelling of roses...

the most screwed up thing... is that now I really am glad I haven't had children.. I'd be all kinds of psycho right about .........now
