Sundae, I lived on the economy and hired a cook. The food was GREAT! I love Pakistani food. The spices were great. It took me a month for my body to adjust the American diet when I got back.

That region has many emigrants because of the conflict and they have influenced the UK's tastes in "Indian" food.
I loved the fact I got to eat Southern Indian food in Leicester, but I grew up with Northern Indian/ Pakistani/ Kashmiri food and I adore it.

I envy you having a local cook.
Less so the dangerous stuff of course.
