Vit D is produced by your body as a result of exposure to sunlight. Where I live, I need to supplement my Vit D intake, and I get it through milk, like with a bowl of cereal.

400 IU is nothing, buster. It's ridiculously low. 30 minutes in direct sunlight with a good amount of exposed skin produces 10,000 IU. If you want to get your vitamin D levels up, either start shirtless sunbathing, or take around 5,000 IU per day.

Letter from my DR. today. Wants to upgrade my D to 50,000 units per week for 4 weeks.
Level of D was 23. Days like today I just don't go out much. Too hard to breath.

I hope that's not bad. You're not a goose or a duck, so you might be ok.

Does this mean pate' is off the menu? It *is* soft... /sadface/
