Playing Money Games

Spread sheets are suppose to report fatal problems long before those problems leave everyone stuck. Thomas Cook clearly manipulated spread sheets using money games. Suddenly left maybe one half million customers stuck in remote locations throughout the world.

Had spread sheets been reporting what they are suppose to, then Thomas Cook would have downsized long ago. Its impending bankruptcy would have been obvious / expected. Then the world could have planned for that change.

Instead, their business school graduates played money games to deny a fundamental problem. 85% of all problems are directly traceable to top management. Top management would have been replaced with competent management long ago. Or Thomas Cook would have been sold off for pennies on the dollar.

Instead, Thomas Cook management (apparently to protect and enrich themselves) left maybe one half million people stuck far from home. A major international airlift may be necessary. How many golden parachutes did management pocket?
