Anyone Use a Blackberry?

Okay...so I'm needing a new phone for work, and I'm considering a Blackberry model. Even without the 'Net and email access active (I'd have to pay for that, and I don't want to), I would effectively combine my PDA and phone into a single device.

Problem is, the Java-enabled Blackberry seems to have, like, *zero* applications available right now. So, has anyone here got one, and if so:

1) Do you like it?
2) Are you confident that there will soon be a rush of development of Java apps for this platform?

Blackberry Enterprise

Hello,

Does your company have a Blackberry Enterprise Server?

The main use for a Blackberry is to use one of those to link to your corporate email. A BES connects to your company's Exchange server, and forwards outgoing and incoming mail to your device.

And yes, one of my customers does have one .

Nope...that's why I'm wondering about its utility without the mail connection.

Save your $$$ then

Heya,

Save your money and get something else. If you don't have BES, there's really no point to having a blackberry unless email is THAT important to you.
