I'm not allowed to watch Dr Who with my male friend, because all I do is drool over the Doctor and forget important plot points. I am also tempted to lick the screen.

Why are images from Silence of the Lambs popping into my head?

What a nice compliment, thank you!
I'm jealous of Zippy's float, love SteveD's museum shot (so does my daughter), and I think Ibram looks very cute, but I'm not a fan of the coat fwiw...
And where is StacyV? She always looks fabulous...

I took my daughter along to see the Hathsepsut exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum in New York. It was a fun day. I believe this is the only time either kid has been allowed to touch my Nikon D50 camera. It's just a couple hours' drive or train ride away if you want to go yourself! Though that particular exhibit is gone now.

I'm envious. My trusty Coolpix 950 is still going strong, but I would love to have a digital SLR camera. I miss using my old Nikon FE, but can't justify the high cost of film. The D50 seems like it would be the perfect camera.

You look just fine in your profile picture - I wouldn't want you to change.

I'm actually getting a jacket like that made to fit better, but probably in navy blue or dark purple. It's a very 60s jacket, which is what I love about it.

I just got a Sony A100. I really like it but I'm also really intimidated by it.... no clue what I'm doing. I haven't used an slr since high school. Should be fun learning again though.
