Civ III owns my life now...

Yeah, I know I'm a little late on the bandwagon, but man is this game fun. (Even though I suck hard at it, I'm working on that though.)

There's a good reason I didn't buy it when it came out though -- I'd never have graduated from college otherwise. So I bid my time, and now that I can calm down (for now, until I start looking for a new job) I'm playing it a lot.

Fun. :-)

I played quite a bit of Civ in college, and borrowed Civ 2 from a friend for a while. One of my favorite games.

If you feel like wasting lots of hours in your life, get Civ 3. I also have Civ 2: Test of Time and Alpha Centauri.

There's too many fun games to play sometimes. I still need to get the Diablo II expansion, and a PS 2 for Final Fantasy X.

I'm stuck in Civ 3 as well. Each game is a little more irritating, though... either the CPU players crowd you, or you have TOO much room. War can take forever to resolve. If this was multiplayer, though, that would be wild. You'd have to schedule entire days around a game.

Yeah, MP would be pretty damn cool. Until then I've got StarCraft. :-)

My problem is that I suck basically. Here I'm going along great, building my culture, expanding and things. Then the civ on one side declares war on me, for no apparent reason. Alright, I might be able to handle that. 2 turns later, the civ on my OTHER side declares war on me. WTF?! And when I talk to the closest civ who can help, I get ZERO diplomatic options.

Someday though, I'll be able to play above Warlord. (I told you, I suck.)

MP would take too long! Aa civ 3 lan would be like a month long. I love the game, i just wish you could keep going till you won instead of having to stop at 2050.....

I think the whole idea of winning is actually "winning by 2050". Hmm?

I think I'm going to get it for my PowerMac. It's got an OS X binary available, which is cool. I really just don't have much time to play games though. Need to find more time...
