Oh and Squid, the red leather sofa would definitely make a statement! Be bold, fear not and go for it!

Downside to leather:
Wears out fast. Sticks to your skin when you're having sex. |

:p Does not wear out anywhere near as fast as most other materials or fabrics. Sex is not advisable on a leather sofa - IMO- Funny story - - My GF and I were intimate on the sofa and experiencing a sticking problem - went with a blanket VOOM on the floor we were in no time flat. Moral of the story - Blankets and sheets slide off leather very, very fast.

I just noticed the coffee table. That is the same one we have in the upstairs media/game/office room.

I like it. My friends tease me about my love of super-bright colors, though -- as my brother said, "you don't really wear things that clash with each other... but sometimes you wear a color that manages to clash with itself."
I probably would not buy a leather couch because I am a vegetarian, but I really like the look of it and think you should go for it, if it wouldn't mean throwing out all your other stuff. |

I have a bright red couch..........because I love red. Not everyone loves red.
I've had it for two and a half years now. And even I'm tired of looking at it. But hey- it was fun. |

I like red leather, but the stuff in the OP is a little too orangy-red and way too shiny for my taste. I wanted red leather chairs for the family room, planned to buy them for a while, but then found identical brown ones for exactly half the price that I'm very happy with. Maybe in the living room though...
