happy Birthday to Me ...

I should probably have some wise and interesting reflections on the turning of another year to post here, but well, I'm kind of busy and getting ready to go to work. (What country is it where your birthday is a guaranteed day off work ... is that Japan or India? Maybe I should move there).

Forty ended up being a challenging year ... started off with my best friend's suicide, then shortly afterwards, a coworker was murdered (and discovered in his basement closet a couple of months later), my mom's been having some health problems ... I did have some wonderful and positive things happen ... met the coolest guy in the world, and just finished up last year by acquiring the totally sweet vehicle ...

Forty-One, i think, will be a year for refreshing the commitment to changes I've been working on in my life, mainly losing things ... weight, debt, and a tendency to be overly sarcastic in interpersonal communications. (I will, not, however, give up being irascible. I LIKE being irascible, from time to time.)

Wow that was some year. Maybe you can take it down a notch this year. Anyway, Happy BDay!

Happy birthday wolf...I'm not drinking anything in your honor though...except maybe milk. If I have a beer right now, I'll be off to slumberville.

Thanks everyone, for your birthday wishes, thoughts, and drinks in my honor. I was happy for the "contact" high, but not so happy for the contact hangover (Where the heck is slang's spew link when you need it??) ... how the hell did you do that???
