Body of Lies
I don't know what the critics think, in fact, I don't much care.
This is a cool movie. They blow some serious shit up. Like any good spy movie, it's packed with action and intrigue. With an extra helping of intrigue. Leonardo DiCaprio is very good as Ferris, and Russell Crowe is slimy, creepy good as the spymaster ... doing deadly spy business at the same time as he's dropping off the kids at school. Ridley Scott is really good at directing this kind of movie. He manages to make the landscape as much of a character as the actors ... I don't think anybody shoots scenic stuff in quite the same way.

I just saw this last week. I thought there were a lot of similarities with Spy Games, which was directed by Tony Scott.
I liked it. |
