Today I went into Harbor Freight Tools for the first time

This place has too many things to buy... it's a impulse buying heaven !
One clerk told me there is only a couple of letter difference between tools and toys.

My G-son has moved into his own place and I have to handle the window cleaning by myself.

I got two double window-suction cups @ $7.50 !

I bought a few things from Harbor Freight. It's amazingly cheap. Like so cheap, you can't believe it. Just remember you get what you pay for. Their tools can be good if you only need them for a few jobs and consider them disposable, but don't expect them to last or even be that high quality to begin with.

I was doing a tiling job and instead of renting a good tile saw and feeling under pressure to return it in a day or two, I bought a cheap crappy one from Harbor Freight. I had to make my own fence from some scrap wood and clamp it to the thing with spring clamps because the fence they provided was worse than a joke. But the saw cut the tiles and was able to complete the job. I still have it, so if another job comes up, I can use it. Great price. Crappy saw.

It has its place.

Agreed. It doesn't help close the trade gap with China either.

Yeah, we bought a carjack from them once, and it snapped under the weight of my tiny truck. Their stuff is crap, and priced accordingly.

They've had a shitload of recalls, this one on fuses, after General Motors notified their dealer network not to buy from HF because the fuse failures were causing electronic failures and fires.

They have some great deals on cheap crap, if you need cheap crap for something. We all do at times, something for a one shot deal or temporary use, but I wouldn't buy anything that put life, limb, or property at risk.

I am much happier now than I was a few hours ago.

My grandson and I took off three storm windows yesterday,
and I cleaned them and the room windows, inside and out.

Then, I asked a neighbor to help me get the storms back up.
These suckers are really big --- and heavy --- 80x60 inches
The new window suction-cups saved the day.

It was a very difficult task and almost did not happen.
We had a hard time getting each storm window lined up properly to slip into place.

But, it's done now ... maybe for another 10 years.

If it has over 2 parts, beware. Coupons that come E-mail can be 2 or 3 bucks diffrent from ones in Sunday paper. 2 pk small flashlights, $1.99 one place other 2.99 I got a 2 buck head light other day. Can't keep the batteries in.
I saw a car other day with the suction cup on inside of window, guess to help old goat, like me, to get in & out. Damifino

I needed an air stapler - HF had one for $29.00. When I got there, it was on sale for $19.00 !! Worls like a champ and when it dies, I'll just go buy another one.

An air stapler? I'm torn: is this like an air guitar (in which case it should be free, you got duped!) or why would you want to staple air?

It turns out there is a set of tools that work not on electric or fuel, but on compressed air. I know this because I work at a pawn shop.
