Video Rentals to Stay Far Far Away From.

Resurrection Mary...omg this flick was sad. As I was watching it, I thought it had to be made by a film student. My husband thought that maybe it was a made-for-TV movie, kind of like the ones they did in the 70's.

DONT rent it.

Resurrection Mary is a local legend here in the Chicago burbs. As a matter of fact, the jazz band I'm in had a number of gigs in a restaurant right across the street from the Willowbrook ballroom (see the wiki article) and the subject of RM came up a number of times.

The restaurant was in a building that once was a brothel owned by Al Capone. It too was supposed to be haunted. Not that I ever saw anything.

The real question is: do you see any bush?

Oh, sorry, that's the question that determines whether 12 year-old boys rent a movie.

Not far from where I live in New Jersey we grew up listening to the legend of Annie's Road. Which is a lot like this story.

I know this is the wrong thread to recommend a film in, but if you know any 12 year olds that want to see bush I can heartily recommend The Blood on Satan's Claw. I have it with a DVD commentary by The League of Gentlemen and I can now quote from the commentary, let alone the film (not that anyone would know I was quoting!)

A 70s classic horror, so of course it involves full frontal female nudity, a rape scene and a hint of lesbianism.

"Jesus Christ, Vampire Hunter" is a movie that you should either stay far, far away from, or rush right out and rent tonight. Depends.

One of the greatest bad movies of all time.

That looks like a good one. Unfortunately, it's not available through Netflix.

Some movies that I would rank in the good/bad category include:
The Worm Eaters
Curse of the Queerwolf
Surf Nazis Must Die

Curse of the Queerwolf, which is in my Netflix queue*, was directed by Mark Pirro, who also invented the Submissive Jesus.

*Why does queue need the extra ue?
