SAVEUR Texas Hill Country Wine & Food Festival
SAVEUR Texas Hill Country Wine & Food Festival
Got some free tix the other day to this event. I know most of you don't give a shit about Bobby Flay, but the guy can cook a helluva a leg-o-lamb. Some other greats are gonna be there, too. I'll let you know how it turns out (if you're interested). |

Actually, I like good non-pork BBQ. I was watching the Spam-fest in Austin on the food channel and it did look like fun, although I only eat turkey Spam. I do like the serious BBQ's where the cooks spend an entire year perfecting the perfect rub or sauce, buying or better yet building a custom grill or smoker which is almost as much an object of folk art as it is a cooking device, and in general having a good, if intensely focused and competive, time.
