Everything must go!

Just an update on my surgery/possible cancer stuff.

I'm freaked out. I'm not worried about the pain. I'm worried I'm going to die. My vivid imagination is not helping.

Anyway, I got the blood test back; one marker is elevated, possibly indicating ovarian cancer; the other marker is okay. I've scheduled my MRI and CT scan, and have found a local guy who will change out all my body jewelry and reinsert for the tests. Except for the chest anchor, which doesn't come out.

I'm trying to do the responsible thing and "take charge of my own health." But it's hard. The stress is making me tired and tearful at a time when I'm trying to build up my physical and emotional reserves. It's good that I have a few weeks to research and make sure I'm making the right decision. It's bad that I have a few weeks to get progressively more freaked out.

I know it's hard not to stress yourself out when you get some scary news which might turn out to be nothing, but it's the thought that it might not which freaks you out.

The only advice I have is to just use all that willpower within to focus on a positive outcome, no matter what the results of the tests. You can do it, and we'll all be here to help you when it gets to be a bit much.

You're a top chick. You're going to be fine because I said so and that's all there is to it. x x

*Hugs Cloud* you'll get through this. My prediction is that it will turn out less scary than it is now. We're here if you need us.

You should start planning for a new piercing or tattoo, to celebrate when it's all over. That's a lot more fun than planning for tests.
