Is this what the Nigerians do with all their email scam profits? Buy exotic pets?

Man, that's the last time I'm helping anyone get their millions out of the country.

I think they are something tribal, but am still trying to find info. I've seen them before.

I will try to remember to ask folks at work about them ... although I don't think we have any Nigerians ... one Ghanian and two Kenyans.

Do they keep phrases from the Koran tucked in the armbands? I'm having a brain freeze on the tradition...

I just thought it was a fucked up comment. Perhaps you meant it as a harmless joke. Maybe you really are a repressed racist. Either way, my opinion on the matter matters very little. I do know enough about you to know that you will argue well past the point of both of our points being made. I feel like I've made my point. If you have need of more time and more posts to justify your position on this particular matter, go ahead and lay it out. I'll probably read it.
Something about Jim's whole response to TS here is disturbing me. I can't articulate it, but still, it's there. I'll have to think about it.

I don't see the problem, Onyx. TS said he is somewhat inclined to resume his family's tradition of slaveholding. LJ called him on it.

I'll stand with LJ on this one. TS's entry was insensitive at best.

I'm wondering if she was surprised that I didn't rake him through it really bad, and defame his character. I was experimenting with subtlety.......It seems to have been effective in this case.

No, I said I had a "vestigial reflex". A distinctive difference.

And considering some of the humor that floats around here, and elsewhere, sensitivity is not really a criteria that can be applied.

All humor is rooted in someone's misfortune.

I was going to let it go as it seemed to have struck a negative chord with you.

I hope my consideration wasn't wasted.
