How do they keep from freezing their toes off?

What you don't know about this picture is that the squirrel is actually frozen in place, and when the sunflower seeds run out, he's a goner.

I'd suppose the fur helps....

Their feet don't actually touch the ground. They're sitting on giant folding claws like Freddy Kruger or Ed Scissorhands. Ask warch about squirrels.
