Gordon Parks Died.
At a ripe old age. You probably saw Shaft. here's a classic photo: American Gothic. He famously stated that the camera was his choice of weapon. He was one bad mutha.....(shut yo mouth!)

A luminary of letters, photography and motion pictures. I first read "The Learning Tree" as a 13 year old, and I still think it is one of the most amazingly crafted stories (semi-autobiographical, it was) I've ever read.

Parks had a good, long, productive and illuminating life, and was of enormous service to people everywhere, regardless of color.
