yahoo mail and explorer

Anyways, I was wondering if I needed to update the Explorer. Recently, everytime I use Explorer 8 to open yahoo mail, there would be an error and it closes the window. Although it re-opens, it would close again. Anyone knows what could be the problem?

I would run windows updates but keep IE 8. I didn't like 9 at all and probably won't solve your problem.

I would also clean your history.

I don't know if this will help since I don't know what the problem is. I do know when things get buggy or slow, I just clean my system of junk files, corrupt registries and history.

Yahoo's been having a variety of issues for me recently. Sometimes when I log out, it spontaneously opens two new explorer tabs for no reason. I don't think it's IE's problem, I think Yahoo is messing around with their new mail system rollout (they've been warning of it for months. I tried the beta and it sucked, I reverted to "classic" mode.)
