PA to Wash State is a long walk for a goat.

My brother just placed a lab with a couple who do small farm animal rescues near NYC. I bet there is a goat or two in your area that could use a human.

I've been back at it for about 5 years. My dad and Grandfather both kept bees - I have a photograph of Grandad with his bees fro the 1930s, and I know he had bees before that. If you are interested in beekeeping, find a local bee association and take a bee school if offered. That would give you an idea of what is involved before you make the investment.

I know. My yard isn't ready though. Additionally, as I find more opportunities to travel, I think goats will be a hindrance. I still want them, it's just one more consideration. The cats can fend for themselves for a couple days, the dog can travel with us.... I don't know about the goats though.

I'll work something out, for sure. And you can be equally sure I'll post my DIY goat castle when I do.
