Community Etiquette

So say your a member of an online community, much like this one I guess

Two people of the opposite (or same) sex hook up, whether its in the emotional or physical sense, when that connection finishes - does the *standard* friends etiquette apply?

By friend etiquette, I mean like, where you dont go out with your friends exes, other friends dont lie in wait for the connection to end before pouncing, not shitting where you eat....that kinda stuff?

Meh, coming from a girl who's best friend married her ex (and Im mates with both of them) and a circle of friends where there is no such thing as sloppy seconds......my moral radar has always been a little off.

Thoughts?

In my experience the "standard" friends etiquette is anything but standard, and varies widely from person to person. I think you should just ask the online friend what she thinks about you hooking up with her ex-fuck-buddy.

You can ask the friend why it didn't work out and find out his flaw. Then casually mention that wouldn't bother you and maybe she'll suggest you go for it. Maybe.

I'd say that if the person in question is considering it, then it's fairly likely to happen anyway at some point (no matter how sensible one thinks one should be or how the ex might feel about it...guess one has to go about these things in the least antagnostic way possible).

I think I may have to visit Vegas before Ducks gets there. I've got a sneaking suspicion that town just isn't ready for her.

So, should I sell my timeshare?

Hey Ducks, let me know when you plan to go to Vegas.

Mrs L is down (or up depending on the hemisphere) for just about anything but I don't think even she is prepared for the whirlwind that is the ducksnuts.

Ah, Ducks. The wife leaves me a lot of slack in the leash, but not that much.
